Random thoughts from a PR/Marketing Guru turned non-profit worker traveling the world helping homeless street kids.

It seems every day when I logon to the internet to read about what has been happening in the world. I seem to always be confronted by a story about what some crazy democrate activist has done. But I never read these on mainline press sites, it seems to only make it onto local press sites. It got so bad, that I started to keep a log:

A swastika was burned into the grass of a Bush-Cheney supporter just because he had a Bush-Cheney campaign sign in HIS front lawn.

Both in Columbus, Ohio and Delaware, they have somehow registered more democratic voters in numbers than the census says there are people that live there.

The Washington State Republican party headquarters was broken into and 3 laptops were stolen. But several other laptops were left behind. The only laptops that were stolen were the ones belonging to the top three leaders.

More than 1,000 democrat voter registration forms and absentee ballot requests may be fradulent in Lake and Summit counties, where investigations of irregularities are broadening. Allegations are tied to ACT and NAACP.

Kerry supporters ransack GOP headquarters in Orlando and two people are injured as they are beat up by these Kerry supporters.

A Pro Kerry force invades a GOP victory center, scream over bullhorns and refuse to leave.

I find this crazy that people who call themselves democrats are trying so hard to destroy the democratic process through intimidation, violence, fear, larceny and much more.

Kerry Supporters are really showing their true colors and the true color is that they are JERKS.

OK...found another one.

Now there have been gun shoots fired into Bush/Cheney campaign offices.

Do you notice how NO Kerry supporters have said a word about this?

I'm guessing you are in Ohio? I am too. I haven't seen these articles. May I ask what papers they are from?

Vandals set fire to signs and wrote pro-President Bush messages on the front of Lafayette’s Democratic Party Headquarters, the second time the office was hit by vandals.

About 30 Bush supporters chanted loudly during the speeches by Kerry and his wife, sometimes setting off air horns.

Tom Lange, 18, of Waukesha said he was setting off an air horn during Kerry's remarks because "we want them to hear us and not hear what he has to say."

Lange said it's "probably not nice, but it's my beliefs."

Michael Gaspar, 18, of Waukesha used a bullhorn frequently before and during the rally to welcome Kerry supporters "to Bush-Cheney country" and to spur on the Bush supporters.

Asked why he was leading the Bush volunteers in loud chants while Kerry was speaking, he said, "I'm doing this to show my support for President George W. Bush."

"I have the right to speak also," he said. "I'm just attempting to get my voice heard."

A campaign worker for Republican Senate candidate John Thune secured applications for absentee ballots from students at South Dakota State University this week, even though records show he is not a certified notary public, as required by state law. Jeff Thune set up a table for his uncle near notaries working for Sen. Tom Daschle's campaign in the Larson Commons at SDSU over the noon hour this week to obtain applications for early voting. A check of the secretary of state's office Web site shows he is not a certified notary public. Office personnel said the Web site is current.

those quotes about republicans doing voter fraud, setting off airhorns during kerry's speech, vandalism, setting fire to signs? ten, fifteen minutes search effort using google and my memory.

instead of trying to divide the country even more by using the stupid tactics of the extremists on one side to paint the whole entirety of the other side as assholes, maybe we could condemn both sides' extremists' bullshit?

can we do that? or should we waste even more time googling to come up with "republicans/democrats are pieces of crap" links?

i denounce the proven vandalism and fraud on both sides and i think that the republicans in this thread do the same rather than exploit these crimes in order to paint democrats as villains.

Ciperl, drmiler, what do you guys say?

I find it humorous that the original author and one other seem to think that fanatics from only one side would do such things.

NEWS FLASH: This just in. A recent reality check revealed that there are, in fact, nut jobs, whackos, and flat out freaks on all sides of the political spectrum.

We now return you to your regular daily blogramming.

I'd have to say I agree, both sides are going crazy over this election. I know who I'm voting for , not cause I like him, but cause I believe he is the lesser of two evils. It's just sad that our great country has come to this. That's why I would NEVER in my life register for a political partry. I belong to the "use my mind and think for myself party"

Ciperl, it would help if you had links to your sources, then we could have a better understanding of the context of these stories. Your failure to do so makes it difficult for discerning readers to evaluate for themselves your implication that these acts were all comitted by some rabid left wingers. This is no insightful blog, this is pure propaganda for those not critically minded.

Republicrats and Demopublicans need to go away (out of power in Federal Government).

I believe he is the lesser of two evils.

Once again the myth of only two parties existing rears it's ugly head. Is this a sign of voter intelligence or voter stupidity?

I never claimed that the Republicans are any better. I'd be willing to bet that this is a case of you did it first so I'm going to do it back! I just wish I could get my hands on the idiot who *started* all this crap. This is a *very* hotly contended race and *both* sides feel *very* strongly about their particular candidate.

you want to start your search sometime in the 1800s, when the parties were first called republicans and democrats. of course, various issues and population trends have reversed since then. however, this is the second forum where i responded to some guy who paints one side as violent while ignoring the actions of their own side.

so, Ciperl perhaps you missed my post or skipped the end of it.

"instead of trying to divide the country even more by using the stupid tactics of the extremists on one side to paint the whole entirety of the other side as assholes, maybe we could condemn both sides' extremists' bullshit?"

do you denounce the extremist crimes of both sides? it seems only fair of you to at least note that democratic hq's vandalized, the vote fraud by the republicans, etc exists rather than just scream how democrats are jerks.

YOU need to reread my posts and think again. I SAID very basically in my last post that no side is better than the other! I also basically said that I don't know WHO started this mess!
